Kent County Open Water Championship 2011

This year the Kent County Open Water Championships are being held at Southsea Beach(Portsmouth) on Saturday September 10th 2011. The championships are being run alongside the South East Region ASA Championship. Kent County ASA Open Water Swimming Championships 2010

The 2010 Open Water County Championships were held in conjunction with the South East Regional Championships at Southsea on 5 September.   Unfortunately no men or boys completed the course.   The results for the Ladies Open and Junior Championships are as follows:

Ladies Junior
- 1st         Dominica Szucsova - City of Canterbury SC
- 2nd        Abigail Oram – Black Lion SC

- 1st         Danni Prior – Sevenoaks Triathalon
- 2nd        Kelly Henson – Herne Bay SC
- 3rd         Dominika Szucsova – City of Canterbury SC
- 4th         Sophie Tills – Black Lion SC
- 5th         Abigail Oram – Black Lion SC

Kent County Open Water Championships 2009

The Kent open water championship results were picked out of the race finish order of the South East Region championships. Before listing the Kent results it is worth congratulating our Kent swimmers for a spectacular result in the SER were in the ladies open 3 km event there were six Kent swimmers in the top seven. Danni Pryor from Dover life guards won the event but unfortunately for her did not enter the Kent championship and therefore although she took the SER title did not take the Kent title.

Dan Seagrove-Castle took bronze in the SER Men’s Open.

Within the Kent Development Plan "Open Water Swimming", the objectives are to promote the Keith Gillman, Regional and County Championships and Postal swims in the County.

Dover Regatta, is part of the ASA SER Grand Prix promoted by Dover Lifeguard Club, and is open to all ASA registered swimmers in Kent and beyond.
